It gives me great pride to present Prof. Manjunath Acharya College of Law, Shelu, established under the visionary leadership of the Leela Education Society, founded in the year 2009 with a commitment to delivering quality and value-based education.
The Society has grown into a multidisciplinary educational institution offering programmes in Law, Management, Engineering Degree and Diploma courses, Junior and Senior Colleges, and School Education, nurturing students from foundational learning to professional excellence.
Our College of Law is founded on the belief that legal education is instrumental in shaping a just and progressive society. We strive to develop competent legal professionals equipped with knowledge, ethics, leadership skills, and a deep sense of social responsibility. Through academic excellence, practical training, and commitment to constitutional values, we aim to prepare students to meet contemporary legal challenges with confidence and integrity.

The role of a law institution is to cultivate clarity of thought, discipline of mind, and commitment to justice. Legal education today demands not only academic understanding but also the development of advocacy skills, research aptitude, professional ethics, and social awareness. Our focus is to create a learning environment where students actively engage with contemporary legal issues and develop the confidence required for professional excellence.
As rightly said, “Knowledge without application is incomplete.” Therefore, the College emphasizes practical exposure through moot court exercises, drafting and pleading training, legal literacy programmes, internships, seminars, and skill-based learning initiatives. These experiences enable students to transform legal knowledge into effective practice.
We strongly believe that “Justice begins with awareness of rights and responsibilities.” The institution continuously encourages students to uphold discipline, respect diversity of opinions, and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct expected from future members of the Bar and Bench.
Our aim is to guide students towards independent thinking, ethical decision-making, and lifelong learning so that they may contribute constructively to society and the legal system.
